Glow Golf @ The Squirrel is back!!! Join us Saturday, July 13th for our first Glow Golf event of the year! ? The theme is “Christmas In July”! Decorate your cart & dress up and join us for a fun night of Glow-In-The-Dark Golf! This event is a 4-person scramble. Cart Decorations begins at 8:30PM, tee-off is at 10:00PM. The cost is $200/team ($50/person), and includes 9 holes of Glow-In-The-Dark Golf, 2 Glow-In-The-Dark golf balls, fun prizes and other fun games! Cereal City Triathlon and Duathlon

This is a sprint triathlon/duathlon that showcases the City of Battle Creek and its amenities. Willard Beach Park will be the site for this high quality multi sport event. There is a sprint distance triathlon and a sprint distance duathlon. Relay teams of all types are also encouraged to participate. Swim 500 meters, Bike 12.4 miles (20K), Run 3.1 miles (5K). This is one of the best courses around for a sprint distance triathlon, duathlon, or relay. This year the Cereal City Triathlon & Duathlon is offering both 2 and 3-person relays. Each team member will be able to register and pay individually as well, so no need to worry about who is footing the bill! Grab your fastest friends, your swim team teammates, and your cycling pals and put together a winning relay team! Returning this year, ages 18 and under can participate in our "Super Sprint" option which consists of a 400 meter swim, 10K bike, and 3K run. Each registration includes a t-shirt, finisher's medal, and post-race meal from our awesome food truck!.

3rd Annual Teach a Kid to Fish

Johnny “Jake” Collier passed away at home on February 17th 2022. Jake was a loving, kind man who was cherished by all who knew him. Jake was a lifelong fisherman. One of his wishes was to share his love of fishing with the youth of Battle Creek. The Collier Family has started a Memorial Fund and would like to honor Jake’s last wishes by gifting 60 fishing rods, some simple tackle, and fishing instructions to Battle Creek Kids. In partnership with the City of Battle Creek, MI Government Small Business Battle Creek, Battle Creek Parks & Rec Department, and Smitty’s Sport Shop, the rods will be distributed and fishing instructions given on the shoreline of Goguac Lake on August 11, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 12 Noon. Thanks to generous memorial donors, Small Business Battle Creek, Battle Creek Community Foundation, City of Battle Creek, MI, Battle Creek Parks & Rec Department, and Smitty's Sport Shop, Sunday, August 11th will be the 3rd annual Johnny “Jake” Collier Teach a Kid to Fish Day! Cereal City Kids Triathlon

The Cereal City KIDS Triathlon is a non-timed triathlon geared specifically for kids ages 4-13. Kids will swim, bike and run within and around Willard Beach Park. All participants will receive a completion medal, a t-shirt and swim cap. Scholarships are now available for the Cereal City KIDS Triathlon event, thanks to the Cereal City Triathlon. Nominate a child you know who would love to have the opportunity to experience the event but may have a financial obstacle in the way!
