First Fridays Live Music Series
We are proud to announce “First Fridays Live Music” starting April 5th in Downtown Battle Creek. Each first Friday of the month, starting in April, we will be supporting live music at downtown bars and restaurants through November!
This project is the creation of Freedom City, Penetrator Events and Small Business Battle Creek in support of Downtown Businesses and local artists.
Cinco De Mayo Fiesta
Come celebrate Cinco de Mayo with us in Battle Creek, Michigan! Join us on May 4th from 3pm to 8pm at Festival Market Square for a fun-filled event featuring live music, live performances, food trucks, vendors, inflatables, and community partners.
Dance the day away to live music, enjoy the colorful and vibrant traditional dance performances, and indulge in delicious food from the variety of food trucks. Shop for unique items from our vendors. And don’t forget to check out the inflatables for the kids!
This event is the perfect way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with your family and friends while supporting our local community partners. Admission is free, so bring your energy and come join the fun! We can’t wait to see you there!
Roper Romp BC!
Who wants to dress like the Ropers from Three’s Company & go on a romp?
Come join us for a fun-filled day at Handmap Brewing (and other locations along the romp!)
Must have valid photo ID to verify age (21+) at the start of the event
Event Time: Saturday, May 11th 1-4pm
Tickets are $30 per team (2 people per team) The romp includes stops at a variety of downtown bar and retail locations, offering special Romp offers and Roper Romp challenges.
Teams of two will romp around Downtown Battle Creek, completing in challenges at a variety of locations! (locations will be announced soon!)

The Joe League Basketball Tournament
Kellogg Arena 1 McCamly Square, Battle Creek, MIWe are so happy to announce The Joe League is here! The basketball League will begin Saturday, April 27th as a tournament for the first year. Located at the Kellogg Arena, Downtown Battle Creek, MI 49017. The tournament will begin at 9am and run until 3-4pm. Team cost is $230 per team. Registration will begin March 15th of this month and will end April 15th of next month. You can register with James Williams or Mario Brown if you would like to enter your team name for the league tournament. All proceeds will go towards the league and respective family. There will be a 1st place team trophy with Joe League Tournament Champion t-shirts, as well as a 2nd place team trophy to be presented at the end of the Championship Game. Admission: $7 Tickets can be purchased online at www.kelloggarena.com or in person the day of the tournament. Tickets on sale March 15! Michigan Mysteries: The Search for Lost Ships & Aircrafts
Battle Creek Regional History Museum 307 Jackson St W, Battle Creek, MI, United StatesJoin us at the Battle Creek Regional History Museum for a very special presentation by shipwreck hunter Ross Richardson! Tickets are $5 and can be ordered online or picked up at the museum during hours of operation. This program is based on the popular website MICHIGANMYSTERIES.COM How many missing persons, missing aircraft and missing ships are there in the Michigan Region? Dozens? Hundreds? Try thousands! Explore some of the Michigan Region’s most mysterious disappearances and the histories surrounding them. This program includes shipwreck stories and documentation and updates on current searches for missing aircraft. Shipwreck hunter and author Ross Richardson has spent the last two decades exploring the bottom of the Great Lakes and discovering and documenting long lost shipwrecks. His website, michiganmysteries.com, is dedicated to the stories of the missing ships, missing aircraft and missing persons of the Michigan Region. Richardson is on the board of directors at the Maritime Heritage Alliance in Traverse City and spends his spare time researching the Great Lakes Region’s mysteries and building models of Great Lakes vessels.
RINGS Ministries CARnival and Car Show

Ms. Harmony Zhu – 2024 Gilmore Young Artist – Classical Piano
First Congressional Church of Battle Creek 145 Capital Ave NE, Battle Creek, MI, United StatesBorn in 2005, Harmony Zhu began piano study at The Juilliard School at age eight, with teachers including Emanuel Ax and Veda Kaplinsky. She was recognized as a Young Steinway Artist at age 10, and made her debut at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium at age 14. She won the 2021 Young Concert Artists International Auditions, becoming the youngest artist on the YCA roster. Named a 2024 Gilmore Young Artist in 2023, she is a student at the Brearley School in New York, class of 2024. Ms. Zhu will play selections by Chopin, Hayden, Schumann and Scriabin. Starting at the brewing facility for Territorial Brewing Company, participants will run to and through the grounds of the Field of Flight and experience air crafts and more while getting an up-close view of the festival grounds as they are running by. Willard Beach Park 50 George B Place, Battle Creek, MI, United StatesThis is a sprint triathlon/duathlon that showcases the City of Battle Creek and its amenities. Willard Beach Park will be the site for this high quality multi sport event. There is a sprint distance triathlon and a sprint distance duathlon. Relay teams of all types are also encouraged to participate. Swim 500 meters, Bike 12.4 miles (20K), Run 3.1 miles (5K). This is one of the best courses around for a sprint distance triathlon, duathlon, or relay. This year the Cereal City Triathlon & Duathlon is offering both 2 and 3-person relays. Each team member will be able to register and pay individually as well, so no need to worry about who is footing the bill! Grab your fastest friends, your swim team teammates, and your cycling pals and put together a winning relay team! Returning this year, ages 18 and under can participate in our "Super Sprint" option which consists of a 400 meter swim, 10K bike, and 3K run. Each registration includes a t-shirt, finisher's medal, and post-race meal from our awesome food truck!.

Willard Beach Park 50 George B Place, Battle Creek, MI, United StatesThe Cereal City KIDS Triathlon is a non-timed triathlon geared specifically for kids ages 4-13. Kids will swim, bike and run within and around Willard Beach Park. All participants will receive a completion medal, a t-shirt and swim cap. Scholarships are now available for the Cereal City KIDS Triathlon event, thanks to the Cereal City Triathlon. Nominate a child you know who would love to have the opportunity to experience the event but may have a financial obstacle in the way!
