What A Do Theatre is partnering with co-sponsor, The Battle Creek Regional History Museum to bring a series of workshops centered around theatre and history of Battle Creek. Participants will attend the workshop from 9a-12p and learn about specific topics through theatrical play and games. At 12:00pm the community and families are invited to attend a mini performance where the participants will do a showcase from what they've learned. Pizza will be served after the performance! Doll and Action Figure Showcase

Love dolls or action figures? Are you a collector looking to show off and talk about highlights of your collection? Or do you just want to learn more about toys and enjoy pop culture? Collectors both seasoned and new will be showcasing what they collect Saturday, August 10 at the Art Center of Battle Creek! The event is free and open to the public. For the third year in a row, Battle Creek Area Doll Club members and local toy collectors will have portions of their collections on display and will be on-hand to talk about their hobby, why they collect, what they collect, and sharing whatever tips they have for newcomers looking to start collecting! Step into the enchanted world of Broadway's classic, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, an international sensation that has been produced in 37 countries worldwide. Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, the stage version includes all of the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice. The original Broadway production ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
