We are excited to invite neighbors to our new Service on the Go pop-up events throughout the summer! Once a month we will hold a city pop-up event in a different city park. We want to bring city staff, services, and information to our neighbors, closer to where you are. You can meet with us and ask questions, learn about ways to stay current with city information, play some games, pay your utility bill, learn about and apply for some great home update programs, submit a service request, and much more! We will bring a variety of our city staff experts, including Communications, Code Compliance, Community Development, Transit, Police, and more as they are available to join us. These events are part of our BC City Connection brand; look for our sunny park graphic on flyers and signs! Please mark your calendars and join us at any of our upcoming events. Color the Creek and Chalk BC are teaming up again to put on the 3rd annual Battle Creek Chalk Art Festival. Come join us in Downtown Battle Creek to see the artists in action and to vote on your favorite piece! Color the Creek is teaming up with the Battle Creek Disc Golf Association for the 4th Annual Downtown Disc Golf event! We will see you on Friday Aug. 16 from 3pm to 8pm (starting at Handmap Brewing) For one day only, we turn the Linear Trail in Downtown Battle Creek into a Disc Golf Course! The Cereal City KIDS Triathlon is a non-timed triathlon geared specifically for kids ages 4-13. Kids will swim, bike and run within and around Willard Beach Park. All participants will receive a completion medal, a t-shirt and swim cap. Scholarships are now available for the Cereal City KIDS Triathlon event, thanks to the Cereal City Triathlon. Nominate a child you know who would love to have the opportunity to experience the event but may have a financial obstacle in the way! What A Do Theatre is partnering with co-sponsor, The Battle Creek Regional History Museum to bring a series of workshops centered around theatre and history of Battle Creek. Participants will attend the workshop from 9a-12p and learn about specific topics through theatrical play and games. At 12:00pm the community and families are invited to attend a mini performance where the participants will do a showcase from what they've learned. Pizza will be served after the performance!
