The Canine Carnival taking place at the shelter on Saturday, August 26 from 9am to 4pm. It is a day of fun for the whole family, kids and dogs especially! We will have: Dog lure course. For $5, your dog can run the lure course. Action photos of your dog on the course will be available for purchase. Don't have a dog? That's ok, it's lots of fun to watch! Dog demonstrations. The HSSCM Canine Training Institute, Michigan Search and Rescue, and Paws with a Cause organizations will be hosting demonstrations throughout the day. Canine Training Institute trainers will also have an "ask the expert" booth to ask questions about your dog's behavior and training. Free kid crafts, kid games, and kid scavenger hunt Craft/vendor booths featuring stained glass, crochet, wreaths, wood art, quilting, marbling, bird items, and more! Food truck We will be highlighting all of the craft and vendors who will have booths on our Facebook page between now and the event.
