We want to bring city staff, services, and information to our neighbors, closer to where you are. You can meet with us and ask questions, learn about ways to stay current with city information, play some games, pay your utility bill, learn about and apply for some great home update programs, submit a service request, and much more! We will bring a variety of our city staff experts, including Communications, Code Compliance, Community Development, Transit, Police, and more as they are available to join us. The Battle Creek Farmers Market will run Wednesdays 9am-1pm (Mid-Week Markets), starting May 15 – October 9 and Friday June 21, August 16, and October 11 6pm-9pm (Night Markets). Battle Creek Farmers Market provides fresh, local grown foods, as well as local food vendors every Wednesday from 9am – 1pm. Live music provided by local musicians! The Battle Creek Farmers Market strives to provide a vibrant, diverse and inclusive community gathering space. Stop in any time for good food and a great view and place to walk by the river! Stop in this summer to enjoy music by the river! Here are our favorite entertainers… All performances from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. on the patio at Clara’s on the River. If there is rain, the music will be canceled for that evening. There is no place inside right now to put the band during inclement weather. We play Dixieland Jazz in Battle Creek and the mid-Michigan area. Our members include David Burkhead, trumpet, Craig Diederich, trombone, Roy Howell, guitar, Bob Murray, bass, David Hackett, drums, and George Pendill, clarinet and leader.
We'll provide the t-shirts, dye, and other supplies, but please feel free to bring your own item from home you would like to tie dye as well. We'll also have lawn games, sprinklers, and food!
