Join us at Festival Market Square for this family friendly event! Summer Breeze is a fundraising and economic development event hosted by Battle Creek Delta Sigma Theta Alumnae Chapter. This outdoor event will feature vendors, food trucks, jazz and R&B bands, raffles, line dancing, a college information booth, a wellness booth and more! Event will be held May 18, 2024 from 4pm-9pm.

Brace yourselves for turbulence, because the Brass Band of Battle Creek makes their thunderous return to the W.K. Kellogg Auditorium May 18th, 2024 at 7:30 PM–with special guest, Lydia Harrel! Please ensure your tickets are secured and your seatbelts are fastened as our Pilot and Principal Conductor Michael Garasi begins our descent to Battle Creek. Joining us is Battle Creek native, Lydia Harrell, who will return to her hometown to accompany us at the Spring Concert. Now a resident of Boston and a member of the faculty at the renowned Berklee College of Music, Harrell grew up in Battle Creek where she attended Pennfield Schools and Kellogg Community College. Lydia’s list of career accomplishments includes winning both the 2015 Duke Ellington Jazz Vocal and 2017 Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival Voice Competitions, appearances with John Batiste and the Boston Pops, and singing the National Anthem at the Massachusetts gubernatorial inauguration. Theatre Week | What A Do Theatre Field Trip to Six: The Musical

What A Do Theatre is partnering with Downtown BC and Penetrator Events to have a Theatre Week! Theatre week will showcase our local actors and artists in a series of different events taking place from May 19-May 25. On Sunday, May 19th, What A Do Theatre will be traveling to Wharton in Lansing, Michigan to see the Broadway National Tour of Six: The Musical. This is through a partnership between What A Do Theatre and Wharton's Arts within Reach Program. The goal of this partnership is to make the arts affordable and accessible for all! If you wish to join us, you can register through our Ludus site (link at the bottom). Seats are $25.00 and include a ticket, transportation, and a boxed dinner to Panera. Details on where to meet will be sent to those registered. We will be leaving Downtown Battle Creek at 4:45pm and anticipate returning around 9:15pm. Join the KCC Theatre Department upstairs at the Cricket Club as they present Mini Mich-Mash. What is Mich-Mash? Well, actors perform 30ish plays in 60ish minutes. The audience helps the actors determine what order the show will go in and may even find themselves participating. This is a fun improv experience and an opportunity to learn about theatre programs being offered locally!
