It's almost time again for one of the FAVORITE tournaments of the year! The APA Triple Elimination 8-Ball Tournament is scheduled for October 20-22, 2032! There is a $7,250 Total Prize Pot with the total purse based on 25 team maximum. Registration is now open and it is first come, first serve. Reserve your team spot with a $150.00 non-refundable deposit. Total team entry fee is $500 and any payments received on Friday must me made in cash only. Registration deadline is October 16th - but be forewarned, it will likely fill up much sooner than that! So REGISTER FAST!!! We can't wait for this event! Reserve your tickets here: https://events.humanitix.com/.../betty-hutton-film-festival Betty Hutton (born Elizabeth June Thornburg on February 26, 1921 in Battle Creek, Michigan) was an American stage, film and television actress, comedian, dancer and singer. She was raised in Detroit during the Great Depression by a single mother who worked as a bootlegger. She began performing at a young age, entertaining patrons at her mother's speakeasy. She rose to fame in the 1940's after performing on Broadway, and later in 1941 signing a contract with Paramount Pictures. During those years she also recorded numerous singles for Capital Records. Her last feature film was in 1957 with Spring Reunion. She passed away in 2007 at the age of 86. She starred in the movie 'Let's Dance' with Fred Astaire in 1950, which is the feature film in this event. During World War II Kitty McNeal (Betty Hutton) and her dance partner Donald Elwood (Fred Astaire) are performing for troops in London. Don announces his engagement to Kitty on stage, but Kitty later tells him she's recently married pilot Richard Everett, a member of a wealthy Boston family. The Haunted Scare Affair

The Woman’s Co-op is hosting their annual Scare Affair Friday October 20th and Saturday October 21st at Leila Arboretum. Guided tours begin at 8pm and run until midnight. This year the carnival is pulling into town. Join us for a thrilling night of performances that are sure to kill you! (oops... we meant THRILL you!) We have made a few changes to allow for a smoother entry process and added tour guides to our troupes to increase guest capacity. Tickets are $10.00. If you would like to avoid the box office line, we will have tickets for pre purchase online available until Thursday October 19 https://2023Hauntedscareaffair.eventbrite.com or you can purchase tickets at the gate during the event. (Please note: the event runs rain or shine so tickets will not be refunded due to weather) This event is not recommended for children under 12.
