Color the Creek is back for its 8th Annual Festival week - August 12 - 19, 2023! Enjoy a week of mural painting, diverse events, and community fun! Schedule: - Sat. Aug. 12 - Disc Golf Downtown @ Handmap Brewing - Sun. Aug. 13 - Art of Soul Exhibit Reception @ The Art Center of Battle Creek - Mon. Aug 14 - Mural Painting Starts! - Weds. Aug 16 - Youth Day at Mill Race Park - Thurs. Aug 17 - Washington Street Bridge Cleanup (2pm to 6pm) - Fri. Aug 18 - Summer Art Hop (Downtown Battle Creek - 4pm to 8pm) - Que Calor Art Show at Café Rica (8pm to 10pm) Sat. Aug. 19 - Battle Creek Chalk Art Festival / Closing Block Party at Festival Market Square (5pm to 9pm) We hope you will join us as we celebrate the power of creativity in Battle Creek!

Color the Creek is excited to be partnering with the City's Small Business Development Office to put on the Summer Art Social on Friday Aug 18 from 4 to 8pm. The Summer Art Social is an Art Hop-style event. Come see Artists popped up in Downtown businesses and walk the Downtown Social District to enjoy new murals, outdoor Art and Local Business Vendors, Street Musicians, Live Art, and Live Music. QUE CALOR MEANS "WHAT'S HOT" IN SPANISH AND IS THE PERFECT NAME FOR AN ART MENTORSHIP/GALLERY HYBRID EVENT OCCURRING QUARTERLY IN BATTLE CREEK IN COLLABORATION WITH THE BREAKING BRED, COLOR THE CREEK, CAFE RICA, ACCBC & THE ART CENTER OF BATTLE CREEK. THIS EVENT IS AN OPEN OPPORTUNITY FOR OUR COMMUNITY TO BE INTRODUCED TO FEATURED ARTISTS IN THE INDUSTRY WHILE ALSO GIVING LOCAL�ARTISTS AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXHIBIT ALONGSIDE THE FEATURED ARTIST.
