Saturday, September 19, 2026 – Walk begins at 10:15am. Downtown Battle Creek, Festival Market Square. (25 McCamly St S, Battle Creek, MI 49017) Parking: Hamblin Ave Parking Ramp All ages are welcome to stroll with us along the 1/2 mile or 1 mile routes. People-friendly pets are welcome too. Participants can enjoy walking, drumming, painting, music and dancing, photo booth, and more. Also learn about how Miles for Memories safe return programs can help your loved ones. This event raises funds and awareness about all forms of dementia. Together, with our dedicated volunteers, we develop programs, support preventative research at MSU, and provide training for the person living with dementia, their caregivers, professionals, and community members as part of our efforts. The Michael Miller Memorial Foundation Craft Show is usually held in May, but we’re switching things up this year and bringing it to September. Join us Saturday, September 19 10AM - 4PM to shop small and make a difference. This special event brings our community together to support an important cause—100% of booth fees from this show will go directly toward childhood cancer research. All funds raised will be used to support our sweet friends living with diabetes. 🦆 Winners do not need to be present to win the rubber duck race. The event drops rubber ducks from the Michigan Ave bridge and races them to the Old Jackson St. Bridge near Handmap Brewing. Prizes go to the first three ducks to cross the finish line. 🛟 For the human inflatable duck race, well, you have to be there to win. Humans will race on duck floats from the Kellogg House to the Old Jackson Street bridge (approximately 30 minutes depending on the tide). The first three human ducks to waddle across the finish line will be awarded prizes. Don't be a lame duck!
