Put your skills to the test with EUCHRE @ THE HOLLOW!!  Starting January 14th, going every other Sunday thru March: $5 buy-in per PLAYER, registration starts at 12:30, play begins at 1:00PM. Each player will play 10 rounds, alternating your teammate & opponents every game! Breaks will be taken every third game. Cash prizes will be awarded. Cereal City Concert Band, “Festival Classics!”

The Cereal City Concert Band invites you to join the festivities for our thrilling February concert, “Festival Classics!” Some of the best-loved literature in the concert band world is included in the setlist for this program, full of showpieces that give ensemble members a chance to demonstrate their musical talent and technical ability. Mark your calendars for Sunday, February 25th at 3:00pm at the Pennfield Performing Arts Center, 8587 Pennfield Rd, Battle Creek, rings out with these spirited selections. Without a doubt, folks who played in high school or university bands will instantly remember the haunting melodies and rocketing rhythms in these classic works that highlight the technical skill and musicianship demanded by these pieces. Newcomers to this music are sure to discover a new tune or two to carry with them. Concert tickets are $10 for Adults, $5 for Students, Seniors (65+), and Veterans, and free for children 5 and under. What A Do Theatre Presents – Finding Nemo Jr.

Join us in the deep blue sea as we explore the open ocean with Marlin and his friends to find Nemo! This will be a theatrical experience that you don't want to miss, the first production in the Battle Creek area to use puppets in a live musical. Blackthorn – Celtic/Irish Folk

First Congressional Church of Battle Creek 145 Capital Ave NE, Battle Creek

Blackthorn is a Detroit area based group who present rich variety of Irish and Celtic songs of emigration, sea shanties, lively jigs and reels, blended with contemporary Irish songs that capture the history and legends of Ireland and it people. They are an annual headliner at the Michigan Irish Fest in Muskegon and the Milwaukee Irish Fest. They also play several venues in the Detroit area on a regular basis. This is their first appearance in Battle Creek and they look forward to making new friends and fans. Sunday Afternoon Live! concerts are free to the public, and include a family friendly reception where patrons can meet the artists and enjoy fellowship with each other. The mission of Sunday Afternoon Live! is to enrich the cultural life of the greater Battle Creek Community and to continue the tradition of the First Congregational Church as a patron of artistic creativity and expression. We endeavor to do this by sponsoring a series of free concerts that present musical artistry that is exciting, beautiful, varied and enjoyable. We will underwrite the concerts by means of donors and sponsors in order to make the concerts available to the entire community.
