Leila Arboretum is excited to host a FREE community wide celebration of the Solar Eclipse on Monday, April 8, 2024, from 2:00-4:00pm. Join us in the Fantasy Forest to explore the relationship between the Earth, Moon, and Sun through hands-on art and science activities. Don’t miss your chance to view a nearly Total Solar Eclipse in Battle Creek on April 8, 2024 at 3:11! An eclipse of this magnitude won’t occur in Battle Creek again until 2099.

Festivus 2024: The Cardboard Sled Competition

Join us at Leila Arboretum on Saturday, FebruHairy 10th, for Festivus 2024: The Cardboard Sled Competition, and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of cardboard sledding at Leila Arboretum from 1 - 5 p.m. Hot dogs, chili, hot chocolate and adult beverages available for purchase! Sled registration begins at the Arboretum at 1 p.m., sleds run at 2:30 p.m. Prizes will be announced and awarded after all sleds run. Prize categories for youth and adults: • Best Run • Most Stachetastic (Most Moustache themed) • Leila's Choice • Worst Run • Best Wipeout Official Rules: FESTIVUS 2024: THE CARDBOARD SLED COMPETITION RULES 1. It's a CARDBOARD sled race. Sleds must be constructed using cardboard, adhesive and paint ONLY 2. Registration begins at 1 p.m. 3. Must show valid I.D. to purchase adult beverages 4. Safety first: Sledding is inherently dangerous. EVERYONE MUST SIGN A WAIVER. SLED AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! ***HELMETS ENCOURAGED*** 5. Must be present to receive prize award. 6. HAVE FUN!!! The Haunted Scare Affair

The Woman’s Co-op is hosting their annual Scare Affair Friday October 20th and Saturday October 21st at Leila Arboretum. Guided tours begin at 8pm and run until midnight. This year the carnival is pulling into town. Join us for a thrilling night of performances that are sure to kill you! (oops... we meant THRILL you!) We have made a few changes to allow for a smoother entry process and added tour guides to our troupes to increase guest capacity. Tickets are $10.00. If you would like to avoid the box office line, we will have tickets for pre purchase online available until Thursday October 19 https://2023Hauntedscareaffair.eventbrite.com or you can purchase tickets at the gate during the event. (Please note: the event runs rain or shine so tickets will not be refunded due to weather) This event is not recommended for children under 12. 13th Annual Leilapalooza Music Festival

Battle Creek’s biggest music event returns! This will be a FREE event that is open to the public. Parking is $10. This small parking fee helps contribute to the Leila Arboretum Society, and to ensure future events like this can continue. It is important to us that we otherwise maintain this to be a free event to the public.

Del Shannon Classic Car Show

This is the Inaugural Del Shannon Classic Car Show in Battle Creek, Michigan. The car show will be held on Saturday, June 24th from 11:00 Am to 4:00 PM at the Leila Arboretum. Entrance fee for visitors attending the show will be $5 per person, plus $5 parking. If you are interesting in registering a classic car, truck, military vehicle or motorcycle for this show, advance registration is $20 per vehicle. It will be $25 per vehicle the day of the show.
