KCC Music Faculty Artist Recital

Kellogg Community College will open its 2023-24 concert season this month with a KCC Faculty Artist Recital on campus in Battle Creek. The recital, which will showcase the high caliber artistry of KCC’s accomplished music faculty, will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, in the auditorium of the Davidson Visual and Performing Arts Center, on campus at 450 North Ave. The event is free and open to the public, though a freewill offering will be collected to support future music programming and initiatives at the College, including a planned concert tour of Austria in 2025. According to Dr. Gerald J. Case-Blanchard, director of vocal music and Music Area coordinator at KCC, “this recital promises to make your spirits soar.” Faculty artists will perform more than a dozen works demonstrating a wide variety of genres, styles and musical periods. The repertoire will range from classic works by G.F. Handel, J.S. Bach and others and will expand to new works including a solo piano piece composed and arranged by KCC faculty pianist Nancy D.
