Archway Cookies was originally founded as the Swanson Cookie Company in 1936 in Battle Creek. In 1954 the company changed its name to the Archway Cookie Company. A family owned business, Archway Cookies became a nationally known company. This presentation will cover the history of the company. Sarah Rice will also be signing copies of her new book: The History of Archway Cookies: A Taste of 20th Century Americana. Archway Cookies records the Cookie Company’s evolution and those involved in making, sharing and selling Archway Homestyle Cookies. This enjoyable, presentation Sarah will discuss the changes Archway Cookie of Battle Creek experienced through the decades.
