Bruin Boo returns Oct. 29! Kellogg Community College invites kids and their families to an evening of free trick-or-treating and Halloween fun during the return of KCC’s award-winning Bruin Boo event on campus in October. Bruin Boo is a family-friendly, free event for kids of all ages that will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, on KCC’s campus at 450 North Ave., Battle Creek. During the event, KCC students and employees alike will be “dressed to impress in their Halloween best” to hand out candy and other giveaways to community trick-or-treaters at dozens of stations on campus. In addition to trick-or-treating, Bruin Boo activities will include: > Halloween games and activities led by KCC students and employees > Halloween-themed coloring pages designed by KCC’s Graphic Design students > Face painting > Additional fun and giveaways from our community sponsors > And much more! Join the Battle Creek Police Department for a fun and safe evening of trick-or-treating at Bailey Park! This free community event provides a controlled environment for children to enjoy Halloween festivities, collect candy, and connect with local law enforcement in a positive setting. Families are encouraged to come in costume and enjoy decorated trunks, treats, and Halloween fun. All are welcome! *Park near Main/Eaton Street entrance. The event will be next to C.O. Brown Stadium.

November 6-9, 2025 “Be the primary resource that empowers our members to advance good nutrition and promote healthy lifestyles for Michigan children.” SNA Michigan is the state affiliate of the School Nutrition Association (SNA), a non-profit professional association representing 60,000 members involved in the school food service industry. SNAM represents over 1,600 food service personnel in Michigan. Membership in both organizations is open to persons engaged in school food service or related activities in public, non-public schools, and colleges and universities.
Come share the love with Cher, and support the SHARE Center (TSC), an organization in Battle Creek that provides meals, showers and numerous basic services to the marginalized, while also helping to decrease strain on public resources. This year, the SHARE Center faces budget shortfalls like never before from Medicaid cuts and even more next year. Our emcee Cher*, a local Cher impersonator, will perform for us, celebrate TSC’s success in the community and help us raise needed funds.
