KCC Jazz Band “Lovers and Legends” Valentine’s Day Concert

The Kellogg Community College Jazz Band is making date night a no-brainer with a free Valentine’s Day concert on campus in Battle Creek. The KCC Jazz Band’s “Lovers and Legends” concert will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at the Binda Performing Arts Center, on campus at 450 North Ave. in Battle Creek. The event is free and open to the public, though a freewill donation will be collected to support future arts initiatives at the College. Band members under the direction of KCC Jazz Band Director Eric Campbell will perform a diverse repertoire featuring timeless classics and legendary hits including romantic ballads, soulful grooves and energetic big band numbers sure to captivate audiences of all ages. Branch Gymnastics hosted its first Cereal City Classic in 1995. At the time, it was the first ever gymnastics competition to host both men’s and women’s youth gymnastics within the same event. This gave clubs the ability to travel to a meet with their entire program; both men’s and women’s teams! Due to the success and reception of the meet, hosting both men’s and women’s competition at the same event is now a common practice! Cereal City Classic is hosted in Battle Creek, MI each year, the cereal capital of the world and headquarters of W.K. Kellogg Foundation. Parking is available in the Hamblin Ave. parking ramp (Connected to the Kellogg Arena) for $8. Other Downtown Battle Creek parking structures and street parking are also available, prices vary per structure.
