Join us for the EXCITING opening of the 125th symphony season! The Battle Creek Symphony presents “A Musical Time Machine” on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 7:30pm at the W.K. Kellogg Auditorium. A myriad of selections takes us back to 1899 when the Battle Creek Symphony was born. Together, we’ll explore decades of iconic, influential musical styles, celebrating 125 years of musical genres in a multi-media experience. Helping us pay homage will be Indian-American violinist Maya Anjali Buchanan, a top medalist in the Washington, Stulberg, Stradivarius, and Johansen International Competitions. You’ll enjoy a taste of every decade…from Gershwin and Bernstein to music by Elgar, the Beatles, and even today’s hits sprinkled in. Also, watch for selections from West Side Story, Maple Leaf Rag, Michael Jackson, and Queen.
