Did you know that more than a quarter of domestic violence victims stay in abusive relationships for a median time of two years to avoid leaving their pets behind? Any pet parent can understand that a large percentage of domestic violence victims report returning to an abusive partner out of concern for their pets’ safety. After learning about this, we decided to introduce Bring Your Dog Day to raise awareness and collect donations for pets of survivors and victims in our area so they can “bring their dog.”
Join us Saturday, June 14 as we open our front 9 to golfers & their pups for the entire day! We HIGHLY encourage a tee time. If you bring a donation for Booker’s Closet, a closet that will benefit the pets of survivors and victims served by S.A.F.E. Place, we will give you 5% off your total golf and drink tab! Please bring new and gently used non-perishable goods.
