FireKeepers Casino Hotel is excited to announce a legendary double-bill performance featuring rock icons Great White and Slaughter at the Event Center on April 19 at 8 p.m. This thrilling night of music promises to deliver unforgettable hits and high-energy performances.
Great White, the iconic American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1977, achieved peak success during the mid-to-late 1980s with platinum-selling albums such as “Once Bitten” (1987) and “…Twice Shy” (1989). Known for chart-topping hits like “Rock Me” and “Once Bitten, Twice Shy,” Great White continues to captivate audiences with their dynamic sound and stage presence. The band’s name pays homage to both the shark and Mark Kendall’s former stage nickname.
Slaughter, the hard rock sensation hailing from Las Vegas, emerged in 1988 and quickly gained fame with their debut album “Stick It to Ya” (1990), which achieved double-platinum status and sold over two million copies worldwide. With hit singles such as “Up All Night” and “Fly to the Angels,” Slaughter’s aggressive yet melodic sound defined the hard rock and heavy metal scene of the 1980s.
Jim Wise, Vice President of Marketing at FireKeepers Casino, expresses enthusiasm about the upcoming concert: “Great White and Slaughter are iconic names in the rock music scene, and we are thrilled to bring these powerhouse acts to the FireKeepers Casino Event Center. This double-feature promises an electrifying night of rock and roll that fans won’t want to miss.”
