The Battle Creek Symphony presents “Celtic Crossroads” on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 7:30pm at the W.K. Kellogg Auditorium.
Bring on the craic (Irish for fun)! This non-stop show features the world-renowned music of Cillian Vallely, the uilleann pipes and low whistle player with the renowned Irish band Lunasa, described as “The hottest Celtic band on the planet” (Irish Voice). Witness the magic he creates with his uilleann pipes and flute complemented by David Doocey on fiddle and Alan Murray on guitar. This spirited, intense, and sometimes heart-wrenching music will bring the magic of the Emerald Isle to Battle Creek. You can also experience live Celtic dancing, combining tap and ballet. The concert opens with the world-famous Greater Midwest Pipe Band welcoming listeners with their pipes and drums. Discover your Celtic roots with this unique collaboration featuring Cillian Vallely and friends.
“Vallely, whose family has played a seminal role in piping and Irish music in the north of Ireland for years, shows why he is one of the most respected pipers playing today.” ~ The Irish Voice
