The Del Shannon Show | Del Shannon Weekend

This 2nd Annual concert event is the start of Del Shannon Weekend in Battle Creek, Michigan. The concert will feature a tribute to the music legend Del Shannon by James Popenhagen.
Classic hits like ‘Runaway’, ‘Hats off to Larry’, ‘Little Town Flirt’, ‘Stranger in Town’, ‘Keep Searchin (We’ll Follow the Sun)’ will be featured, as well as many others songs by the artist.
The opening act will be the 60’s tribute band ‘Glad All Over’.
All proceeds benefit the Battle Creek Regional History Museum.
Del Shannon Classic Car Show | Del Shannon Weekend
This is the 2nd Annual Del Shannon Car Show, a part of Del Shannon weekend in Battle Creek Michigan. The car show will be held on Saturday, June 29th, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Leila Arboretum located at 928 W Michigan Ave, Battle Creek, MI. Gate open at 9:30 AM, registration starts at 11:00 AM.

Classic car vehicle registration is $15 in advance for each one entered in the show on this site. Advance registration guarantees you a Del Shannon Car Show dash plaque.
Vehicle registration on the day of the show is $15 (cash) at the gate.
The event is free to the public, but there is a parking fee of $5 per vehicle. There will be food, music and games!
Come out and get your Del Shannon weekend T-shirt!
The four class categories will be: Classic Cars, Trucks, Military Vehicles & Motorcycles.
The top three trophies will be judged by the Del Shannon family:
1st Prize: The Del Shannon ‘Runaway’ Award
2nd Prize: The Jody Westover Legacy Award
3rd Prize: The Shirley Westover Legend Award
There will also be a 1st through 10th place awarded by the car show judges for classic cars and trucks, and a top prize trophy in the category of military vehicles and motorcycles.

What's Cookin' in BC - Cottage Food and Beyond
In the session, we’ll convey basic information about selling out or your home kitchen, as well as transitioning to a commercial kitchen space and possible co-packing opportunities. We’ll also address how to become a client at the MSU Product Center and provide an overview of the Food Processing Innovation Center on the Michigan State University campus.
Our presenters are Katje Armentrout, PhD – MSUE Community Food Systems Educator and MSU Product Center Innovation Counselor and Kellie Jordan – MSUE Food Safety Educator.
Refreshments and beautiful space will be provided by Cafe Rica!

Cereal City Triathlon and Duathlon
Willard Beach Park 50 George B Place, Battle Creek, MI, United StatesThis is a sprint triathlon/duathlon that showcases the City of Battle Creek and its amenities. Willard Beach Park will be the site for this high quality multi sport event. There is a sprint distance triathlon and a sprint distance duathlon. Relay teams of all types are also encouraged to participate. Swim 500 meters, Bike 12.4 miles (20K), Run 3.1 miles (5K). This is one of the best courses around for a sprint distance triathlon, duathlon, or relay. This year the Cereal City Triathlon & Duathlon is offering both 2 and 3-person relays. Each team member will be able to register and pay individually as well, so no need to worry about who is footing the bill! Grab your fastest friends, your swim team teammates, and your cycling pals and put together a winning relay team! Returning this year, ages 18 and under can participate in our "Super Sprint" option which consists of a 400 meter swim, 10K bike, and 3K run.
